Online Craps For US Players
Craps is a unique and interesting dice game in which the players place bets or wagers on the outcome of a series of rolls of a pair of dice. When played online, the dice are not real of course; rather online casinos use sophisticated random number generators to get the same kind of randomness as a real pair of dice. The game is perfect for beginners as well as for experienced gamblers because of its simplicity and the variations in play that it can have even with its simple rules.
The player rolling the dice is called the shooter. The players bet on the outcome of the rolling of the dice by the shooter. Players take their turns as shooter turn by turn. For a round, the first roll determines the Point, which is the number that determines when a round ends. That happens whenever the Point is rolled in that round again. The first roll is also called the Come Out roll. The round ends if the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12 on the Come Out roll. The goal of the bettors is to bet correctly on the number or range of numbers that will be rolled next.
There are a number of different types of bets that can be placed with each roll of the dice. The most common types are:
Pass Line Bets
The basic point of this bet is for the shooter to win their point number. This bet is immediately won if the shooter rolls out a 7 or an 11 in the Come Out roll.
Don’t Pass Line Bets
These bets require that the shooter must roll a 2 or a 3 during the Come Out roll.
These bets require that the shooter roll a 7 or 11 after a Come Out roll.
Don’t Come Bet
These bets require that the shooter roll a 2 or 3 after a Come Out roll.
Single Roll Bets
These bets are the ones that try to predict what the shooter will roll next. If a player bets that the next number to be rolled will be a particular number, let’s say 4, and the roll does come up with that number, the player wins the Single Roll bet.
